Privacy Policy

Black & Fit ("Black & Fit," "we," "us") operates Walk & Win, a live walking program conducted entirely over a conference phone line. This policy explains what information we collect through blackandfit.com and the Walk & Win membership, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It does not cover information collected by third-party sites you might reach by following a link away from ours.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, our identity provider (Firebase Authentication) stores your email address, your password, and, if you provide one at signup, a display name. Your password is handled entirely by Firebase — we never see or store it in plain text.

Subscription and billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card number is sent directly to Stripe — it never touches our servers. What we do store, tied to your account, is limited to your Stripe customer ID, your Stripe subscription ID, your subscription status (for example, trialing, active, past due, or canceled), the price you're subscribed to, your current billing period's end date, whether your subscription is set to cancel at period end, and your trial end date.

Communications. We use your email address to send account-related messages — including a welcome email with your call-in number and access code once your membership is active — delivered through our email provider, SendGrid.

Schedule and call configuration. The days, times, and dial-in details for Walk & Win sessions are stored in our database as site configuration. This describes the program itself, not you personally.

What we don't collect

Walk & Win sessions happen entirely over a conference phone line, and that shapes what we don't have:

• No video. There is no camera on a Walk & Win call, and we never see or store video of you.
• No call recordings. Walk & Win sessions are not recorded.
• No analytics or advertising tracking. The site does not currently run any analytics service or advertising pixel.

How we use information

We use the information above to create and secure your account, process and manage your subscription, send you your call-in details and other account communications, and operate and improve Walk & Win.

Who we share information with

We share information with the following service providers, each of whom processes it only to provide their service to us:

• Google / Firebase — authentication, database, and website hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• SendGrid — delivery of transactional email, such as your welcome email.
• Our conference line provider — the phone bridge that carries Walk & Win calls.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Cookies and session data

When you sign in, we set a single cookie used to keep you signed in. It is HttpOnly (page scripts can't read it), marked secure in production, and expires after five days or when you sign out. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention

We retain account, subscription, and communication information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.

A note on legacy data: earlier versions of this product included features that have since been removed — a live video experience and session recordings. The database tables those features created (referred to internally as plans, profiles, recordings, and liveRooms) may still contain historical records, but current code no longer writes to or reads from them. We intend to fully retire this legacy data.

Children's privacy

Walk & Win is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in. To request that we delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below and we'll confirm once it's done.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do.
